Directorate of Student’s Welfare

The Directorate of Students’ Welfare acts as a nodal centre to promote student welfare activities as well as offers a platform for the overall development of BASU students.

It is headed by a statutory officer of the rank of a professor with a rich academic experience and a wider understanding of social fabric and campus life. The Directorate plays a crucial role in shaping varsity students into social assets by providing them ample opportunities to articulate their aspiration and creativity.

Besides actively assisting students in pursuing their academic accomplishments, the Directorate officials coordinate various co-curricular activities such as sports tournaments, literary and cultural competitions, and various activities of National Service Scheme (NSS) as a Programme Coordinator. The students are encouraged for participation in youth festivals, workshops, seminars etc. within as well as outside the campus.

 The Directorate staffs are working tirelessly for the multifaceted development, welfare of the student’s community and making arrangements for comfortable stay in hostels. The Directorate facilitates the students of outgoing batches in finding the suitable placement. Students get placed in National and Multinational companies, Universities, Banks, NGO’s, Government sector. Thus, Directorate of Students Welfare serves as a hub of students’ guidance, counselling and placement, scholarship, students’ boarding and discipline activities for all its constituent colleges.
