About
The Department of Veterinary Parasitology is one of the pre-clinical branches of Veterinary Sciences established in the year 2021-22. The department imparts Under graduate and Post-Graduate teaching in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry as the major activities along with research and extension activities associated to diagnosis and control of parasitic diseases in animals. Currently, three faculty members are in position each of rank Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. First faculty of the department joined in the month of March 2023. Department has facilities and university recognized faculties to guide P.G. and Ph.D. students in field of Veterinary Parasitology. Faculties of department also running two institution research Projects as PI and two as Co-PI. One multi-institutional externally funded project (ICMR) has been submitted and waiting for approval. Moreover, faculty members are actively engaged in institutional development as College Procurement Officer, CLPC and Chief Hostel Warden apart from other activities. The development of the department is under progress and ready to take up more and more assignment in favour of the people of India.
