Regulation for Contingency Grant Payment for UG Students
- Books related to Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Fisheries, Dairying and Dairy Technology.
- Calculator, Tablet, Desktop, Laptop, Pen Drive or any electronic item that may help in student's study. Only once during the entire degree programme.
- Subscription of journals, books and magazines related to Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Fisheries, Dairying and Dairy Technology.
- Photocopy and binding. Maximum limit: ?2,000/- per annum.
- Purchase/recharge of data/internet for personal mobile, tablet, laptop or desktop during online classes. Maximum limit: ?2,000/- per annum.
- Stationery/practical materials. Maximum limit: ?1,000/- per annum.
Important Instructions
- Books should be verified by I/c Library.
- For items under Sl. No. 1, 2 and 3, if the amount exceeds ?6,000/-, the excess amount shall be borne by the student.
- Original actual bills shall be submitted by the students to their respective Advisors.
- Signature and seal of the Advisor are mandatory on all bills.
Regulation for Stipend and Internship Payment for B.V.Sc. & A.H. Students
1.1 Financial Support to the Students
Scholarship, Free-ship, Fellowship, Stipend and Assistantship shall be awarded to the prospective students of various faculties of the University as decided by the Academic Council and the Board of Management from time to time.
1.2 General Regulation for Award of Stipend
- He/she should pass and must obtain at least GPA of 5.0.
- He/she should have attendance of at least 75% in all courses during the last six months of class attendance.
- The stipend/scholarship will be disbursed on half-year basis.
- Stipend will not be given to students who are on academic or conduct probation.
- Stipend/scholarship will not be given beyond 4.5 years in case of B.V.Sc. & A.H.
- No student shall be eligible to receive more than one financial assistance at a time.
- Continuance of financial support shall depend upon good academic record, conduct, behaviour and attendance.
1.3 University Stipend
- Stipend shall be awarded to students who are residents of the State of Bihar and have taken admission at the beginning of the academic session.
- Stipend of ?2,000/- per month shall be awarded to Bihar domicile students admitted through NEET/ICAR/VCI under B.V.Sc. & A.H.
- An amount of ?6,000/- per year shall be given towards purchase of books and reading materials including stationery.
- Students receiving scholarship/assistantship from other sources shall receive the stipend after deduction of the amount received from other sources.
- Students leaving the degree programme shall return the fellowship/stipend received from the University.
1.4 Internship Allowance
A sum of ?15,000/- per month shall be given to each Internee student, subject to revision from time to time as per Government of Bihar rules.
Internship allowance shall be paid only for 12 calendar months. No allowance shall be paid for the period of absence, unsatisfactory performance, extended period or re-registration period.
Regulation for Stipend and Contingency for B.Tech. and B.F.Sc. Students
1.1 Financial Support to the Students
Stipend of ?2,000/- per head per month is given to all eligible UG students during their degree programme who are not in receipt of any financial assistance from any other agency.
1.1.1 Eligibility
Only students who are domicile of Bihar are eligible for the stipend. Students admitted against ICAR/NRI/ Self-finance seats are not eligible except those who are domicile of Bihar.
Any student under conduct probation shall not be eligible. Continuous disbursement shall be subject to 75% overall attendance, 5.0 GPA and good conduct.
1.1.2 Payment
Payment shall be made for all 12 months on a six-monthly basis, if otherwise eligible.
1.1.3 Continuance
Continuance shall remain subject to attendance, academic performance and good conduct.
1.1.4 Refund
If a student leaves the studies incomplete, he/she shall return the full amount received. Any excess amount received shall also be refunded.
1.1.5 Removal of Difficulties
In all matters not provided for in these regulations, the decision of the Vice-Chancellor, BASU shall be final.
1.2 Contingency
An amount of ?6,000/- per annum per head as Book Contingency Grant shall be provided to all regular eligible UG students.
1.2.1 Eligibility
Students maintaining 75% attendance, minimum 5.0 GPA and good conduct at the end of the academic year are eligible.
1.2.2 Items Covered
Items considered under this grant shall be as per the decision of the competent authority.
1.2.3 Verification
Verification of books purchased and bills may be done by the respective College I/C Library and Advisors or by a committee constituted by the respective Dean.
Regulation for Fellowship Payment for PG and Ph.D. Students
1.1 Financial Support to the Students
For students of various Faculties in the University, fellowships, scholarships etc. shall be available as decided by the Academic Council and the Board of Management from time to time.
1.2 Fellowship
- Fellowship shall be ?7,650/- per month for Master's Degree and ?12,000/- per month for Ph.D. students.
- Continuance depends upon good record, merit, conduct, behaviour and attendance. Merit means O.G.P.A. 7.00/10.00 or above in each semester with prescribed course load.
- Minimum 75% attendance is required to draw fellowship.
- Fellowship is available only to students who are not receiving financial assistance from any other source in the form of fellowship or salary.
- Fellowship shall be forfeited if the student is placed on Scholastic or Conduct Probation.
- Fellowship shall be tenable for a maximum of 4 semesters for Master's and 6 semesters for Ph.D., subject to maximum periods of 24 and 36 months respectively.
- Medical withdrawal may be considered on production of a hospitalization certificate, subject to the prescribed maximum fellowship period.
- Fellowship holders shall furnish an undertaking that they will not leave the institution without completing degree requirements, failing which the fellowship received shall be refunded.
- University fellowship shall be permissible only to residents of the State of Bihar.
- An agreement bond on Government non-judicial stamp paper of ?100/- shall be furnished, duly signed by the student and countersigned by two sureties having independent sources of income.
