Board Of Management

The Board of Management shall be the Chief Executive body of the University and shall consist of the following: –

  • The Vice-Chancellor;
  • Principal Secretary / Secretary, Department of Animal and Fisheries Resource of the State Government;
  • Principal Secretary / Secretary, Finance Department of the State Government or his nominee;
  • Principal Secretary / Secretary, Deptt. of Agriculture of the State Government;
  • Director, Animal Husbandry, Department of Animal & Fisheries Resource of the State Government;
  • Director, Fisheries, Department of Animal & Fisheries Resource of the State Government;
  • Director, Dairy Development, Department of Animal & Fisheries Resource of the State Government;
  • Two eminent educationists / scientists from the field of Veterinary and Animal Sciences to be nominated by the Chancellor;
  • One progressive farmer from the jurisdiction of the University to be nominated by the State Government;
  • One distinguished agro-industrialist to be nominated by the State Government;
  • One outstanding woman social worker having background of rural advancement to be nominated by the State Government;
  • One representative from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research either from Education Division or Animal Science Division to be nominated by the Council;
  • One Director in rotation to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;
  • One Dean faculty in rotation to be nominated by the Vice-chancellor;

The Vice-Chancellor shall be the ex-officio Chairperson and the Registrar non-member-Secretary to the Board.

The term of the office of the members of the Board other than the ex-officio members shall be three years.
