Undergraduate Degree Programme

The number of students admitted each year for B.F.Sc. Undergraduate Course is as follows:

Students will be selected through NEET Entrance Test and a subsequent counselling conducted by BCECE Board, Patna. 40 Seats

Note: B.F.Sc. is a four years degree programme. The pattern of instruction and evaluation is the semester examination pattern according to the syllabus and regulations prescribed by the ICAR. An enrolled student should complete the course credits prescribed from time-to-time and shall have to earn in minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of 5.0 out of 10.0 in order to earn B.F.Sc. Degree.

Stipend

Bonafide students undergoing B.F.Sc. programme belonging to the State of Bihar will be given a stipend of Rs. 2,000.00 (Rupees Two Thousand) only per month and Rs. 6,000.00 (Rupees Six Thousand) only per year as a contingency grant.

In view of the emergency situation due to COVID Pandemic the commencement of new Academic Session 2020-21 will be declared later as per directives from the State Government.

Basic Eligibility Criteria for B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Programme Admission

  • The candidate should have a minimum qualification of 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized Board/University as per VCI norms.
  • The candidate should have to qualify the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) with minimum qualifying percentile.
  • Based on the NEET UG result 2020 candidates who secure the category-wise minimum qualifying percentile will be eligible for admission in B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Programme at Bihar Veterinary College, Patna subject to fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria as per Veterinary Council of India Regulations 2016.

  • For counseling of 15% All India VCI Quota candidate have to visit the website of Veterinary Council of India (VCI) at https://www.vci.nic.in.

85% students will be selected through an Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the NTA, thereafter counselling conducted by BCECE Board, Patna 51 Seats
15% students will be nominated through All India Quota (VCI) 09 Seats

Note: The pattern of instruction and evaluation is the annual examination pattern according to the syllabus and regulations prescribed by the Veterinary Council of India. An enrolled student should complete the course credits prescribed from time-to-time and shall have to earn in minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of 5.0 out of 10.0 in order to earn B.V.Sc. & AH Degree. After completion of course credits at the end of 4½ years, the student should satisfactorily complete an Internship Training Programme of one year duration.

Agreement/Surety Bond

On selection for admission, parent/guardians of student will have to execute an Agreement/Surety Bond (in prescribed format) before admission to College. Failure to execute the Agreement Bond will lead to cancellation of admission.
A student, who leave the Degree Programme after closure of B.V.Sc. & AH admission of the respective year or on any date of subsequent years irrespective of the fact, will be required to pay a sum of Rs. 3,00,000.00 (Rupees Three Lakh) only as per terms and conditions of the surety bond.
