Department of Livestock Farm Complex
About
Since its establishment the Department of Livestock Farm Complex (LFC) is actively engaged in teaching of courses as per VCI Curriculum for B.V.Sc. & A.H. Besides teaching the department undertakes various programs of extension activities to transfer the technology to the farmers and livestock owners. With routine activities, department have showing their potential in the research work like ETT and IVF project, research on Azola, Moringa, and Vermi-comosting etc. Department have made the Cow Dung Log which is available for sale and may be a model for farmers to increase their income from cow dung also. Training of personals involving in the livestock farming is one of the mandate and prime motto of the department.
Mandate
- Teaching and practical demonstration of Under-graduate course.
- To conduct the researches which would be directly or indirectly fulfill the need of farmers and livestock owner.
- Extension activity for the benefits of livestock owner, entrepreneurs etc.
- Training of livestock owners and ntrepreneurs
