About the Department
The Department of Livestock Farm Complex (LFC) was established in terms of the notification of the Veterinary Council of India regarding Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education (B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course) Regulations, 2016.
The Livestock Farm Complex Department was constituted in the year 2022–2023 and is engaged in teaching third-year B.V.Sc. & A.H. students.
The department is actively involved in imparting quality teaching and hands-on training to students in rearing livestock species, including poultry, to improve their skills and competence in livestock production.
The department provides teaching facilities in housing, feeding, breeding, record keeping and management of large and small ruminant units, poultry and animals of regional interest.
LFC provides research facilities and also works as a model demonstration unit for students, trainees and livestock entrepreneurs.

One smart classroom with a seating capacity of 100 students for undergraduate teaching.
Instruments and equipment as per Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education Regulations, 2016.
Cattle and Buffalo Farm for practical training and research, experimental poultry shed, and Goat, Sheep, Pig and Equine farms.
33 acres of land cultivated for fodder production and research.
Classroom with animal housing models, models of livestock breeds and breed and anatomical structure charts.
One smart seminar room with a seating capacity of 50 persons, equipped with different gadgets.
Academic Activities
Undergraduate teaching and practical farm training are conducted in accordance with the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) curriculum.

The Livestock Farm Complex provides facilities for livestock production and management research and supports practical training, demonstration and applied studies.
