Dr. Y. S. Jadoun is Associate Professor & Head, Department of Dairy Extension Education, Bihar State Institute of Dairy Technology (BSIDT), Bihar Animal Sciences University (BASU), Patna, with over 12+ years of experience in teaching, research, extension education, and community development. Earlier, he served as Assistant Professor at GADVASU, Punjab for 9 years. His academic contributions include 50 research papers, 55 book chapters, 97 extension publications, 3 books, 18 training manuals, and 4 UG practical manuals. He developed the “Pig Farming” mobile application and has actively promoted ICT-enabled extension education. Dr. Jadoun has organized 95 animal welfare camps, 45 scientists–farmer interaction programs, delivered 229+ expert lectures, and coordinated 200+ training programmes. He has guided 11 postgraduate and Ph.D. students and managed externally funded projects worth over ₹28 crore. A recipient of two Young Scientist Awards, the Excellence in Extension Award (2020), and the Scientist of the Year Award (2021), he also served as Chief Hostel Warden of BGIDT Hostels for more than two years. Presently, he serves as Chief Editor of Pashupalan Darshika and Deputy Director (Training & Information), Directorate of Extension Education, BASU, promoting farmer-centric innovations, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livestock development.
