These Visits were also effectively utilized to strengthen professional liaison and foster collaborative interactions with researchers engaged in the field of infectious diseases of animals. The collaborations focused on important diseases such as brucellosis, lumpy skin disease (LSD), peste des petits ruminants (PPR), mycoplasma infections, and other priority animal diseases, facilitating the exchange of scientific knowledge. The diagnostic kits developed by NIVEDI Scientists were routinely used by the NADEN Centre Patna. |
- Disease Forecasting & Forewarning: Developing and refining AI/ML models for the National Animal Disease Referral Expert System (NADRES) to predict outbreaks of 13 major economically important livestock diseases.
- One Health & Zoonoses: Researching zoonotic diseases (such as Leptospirosis and Brucellosis) to understand transmission dynamics between animals, humans, and the environment.
- Diagnostics & Microbiology: Working with the institute’s advanced WOAH Reference Laboratories on molecular diagnostics and studying the biodiversity of pathogenic microbes.
