List of Activities (FY 2025–26)
Training Programme for Rural Youth
- Four (04) training programmes of 05 days each were organized on “Goat Farming”, covering 122 participants from different blocks of Jamui. Topics included breed selection, housing and shed management, nutrition, feeding, health care, disease prevention, and vaccination schedule.
Dates: 13–17 Jan 2026, 02–08 May 2026, 17–21 May 2026, and 17–21 June 2026. - A 04-day training programme on “Diseases of Animals: Prevention & Primary Treatment” was conducted from 22–25 April 2026, covering 25 rural youths. It included common diseases of cattle, goats, pigs, and poultry.
- A training programme on “Fish Processing and Value Addition” was organized from 15–19 July 2025 with participation of 34 rural youths. The programme covered preparation of fish-based products such as fish cutlet and fish biryani, conducted with support from CoF Fisheries AP.
- A training programme on “Rice Seed Production” was conducted from 11–16 August 2025 with participation of 30 rural youths.
- A training programme on “Colourful Fish Farming & Aquarium Preparation” was organized from 25–29 August 2025 for entrepreneurship development. Conducted with support from CoF Fisheries AP. A video film was also created. Total participants: 35 youths from Jhajha and Chakai blocks.
- A training programme on “Oyster Mushroom Production” was conducted from 04–05 December 2025 with participation of 26 rural youths.
Sponsored Training Programme
- Three (03) Self-sponsored training programmes each of 15 days were conducted as Certificate Course on Integrated Nutrient Management” covering 123 participants. These training were organised on dated 05.2025 to 04.06.2025, 06.09.2025 to 20.06.2025 and 24.12.2025 to 10.01.2025. These courses were conducted to obtain the fertilizer license for starting an entrepreneur as fertilizer dealer. Its course is designed by MANAGE Hyderabad.
- A training programme on Natural farming was organised from 17 – 21 Nov. 2025 sponsored by Dept of Agriculture, GoB. It was organised for skill orientation of “KRISHI SAKHI” of Jamui.
Training Programme for Extension Functionaries
- The technical back up to update the extension workers associated with the line departments, two separate training programmes are organised namely “Crop Residue Management” and “Production technology of Millets.” The total participants are 60.
Training programme for Farmers:
KVK has organized the 100 training programmes in different field of Agriculture & Animal Sciences to update them with the improved technologies covering 3878 farmers. The topics were related to the majar cereal, Pulses, vegetables, Fruits, dairy, Piggery, Goatary and Poultry in the FY 2025-26
Front Line Demonstrations (FLDs):
A total 12 FLDs were conducted covering 440 farmers this year. Out of 12 the technologies demonstrated under Pulse crop is 04 with 168 farmers. Other FLDs covered under i.e. watermelon, Potato. Maize, Poshan Vatika, Backyard Poultry, Marigold.
On farm Testing (OFTs)):
There are three OFTs were conducted with 30 farmers entitled as follow.
- Assessment of efficiency of Stress Tolerant Rice under Rainfed condition.
- Assessment of performance of different chemicals against Late Blight of Potato.
- Assessment of efficiency of late sown chick pea.
Vaccination / Animal Health Camp:
- Total 06 vaccination/Animal health camp were organised in the month of Dec.26 covering 276 beneficiaries.
- Soil Health campaign was organised on 19.05.2026. The farmers 107 were participated to know the importance of soil testing in agriculture.
- Farmers Scientist interface to discuss the different issues of Agriculture & Animal Sciences were organised 04 times participated by 596 farmers.
Kisan Mela:
- KVK participated in 04 Kisan Mela organised by other agencies. VIPs visited to KVK stall were as follows. Sri Ratnesh Sada, Hon’ble Minister, GoB, Miss Shreyasi Singh, Hon’ble Minister, GoB, Sri Radhamohan Singh, Hon’ble MP, East Champaran, Sri Arun Bharati, Hon’ble MP Jamui, District Megistrate, DDC, SDM Jamui.
- KVK conducted one Kisan Mela on 30.03.2025. Dr Inderjeet Singh, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna inaugurated this mela as a chief guest. Dr Anjani Kumar, Director, ICAR ATARI, Patna, Dr V K Saxena, DEE, BASU, Dr D V Singh, PS, ICAR ATARI, Dr Pankaj Kimar, DDT, BASU, Mr Avinash Chandra, DAO Jamui alongwith District Animal Husbandry officer, District Fisheries officer, Prject Director ATMA and several extension officers i.e. Agri. Coordinator, BTM, ATM grace this occasion. KVK Jamui, line dept. and several NGOs display their techniques through 25 stalls. Farmers from different villages of Jamui participated in huge number as 1150. Farmers demonstrate their valuable products of crop, vegetables, cattles, goat and Poultry through Separate exhibition displayed over there. Champion farmers were honoured by the chief guest.
NEWS Coverage:
Print and Electronic media gives a lot of space to the KVK Jamui. The print media like Hindustan, Dainik Jagran, Prabhat Khabar, Rashtriya Sahara and electronic media i.e. E Tv., Vividh Bharati and several local You channel use to visit KVK to catch the activities. More than 200 news were flashed in a year.

Video Films created:
Several video films were created by the KVK for transfer of technology upto farmers level. It also help in dissemination of extension activities being run by KVK for the farmers. These films covers Kisan Mela, and technologies i.e. Zero Tillage se gehun ki kheti, Tarbuj ki kheti, Bakri Palan, Natural Farming, aquariun Nirman etc.
