Mrs. Rashmi Kumari

                    Mrs. Rashmi Kumari graduated with a B. Tech. in Dairy Technology in 2015 from the Bihar State Institute of Dairy Technology, BAU, Sabour, Bhagalpur, and placed second in her class (7.93 OGPA) with a first-class grade. She then earned a First class (8.65 OGPA) with distinction in her M. Tech. in Dairy Engineering from the ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute in Bangalore in 2018. Additionally, she earned an institute fellowship while doing her M.Tech. She also passed the NET and Junior Research Fellow exams offered by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, in the field of Agricultural Structure and Process Engineering. She also has extensive in-plant experience and practical training from Vikramshila Dugdh Utpadak Sahkari Sangh Ltd. in Bhagalpur, Bihar, and Barauni Dairy in a variety of dairy processing, dairy product, and quality control areas.  Additionally, she spent more than three years working under the District Agriculture Officer, Department of Agriculture, Government of Bihar. While working in the area of dairy, she authored more than three research publications in respected national and international journals. In the areas of dairy and animal husbandry, she has also produced more than ten extension articles, five book chapters, and a technical bulletin. She belongs to a number of professional societies and organisations, including the Indian Dairy Association, as ordinary member and as a life member of Indian Dairy Engineers Association. She frequently takes part in organising numerous training sessions and seminars for academics and farmers to increase their understanding of the most recent advancements in the dairy and animal sciences. For the purpose of presenting the research work, she also spoke at and took part in more than thirteen national and international conferences. She also took part in a number of training programmes, such as the capacity building initiative run by the Bihar government’s Department of Agriculture and BAMETI. She also successfully completed courses in Autocad 2D and 3D and Computer Application & Concept from NIELIT in Patna, Bihar and CADPOINT Koramangala Centre in Bagalore, respectively, in addition to her academic work. She actively participated in numerous academic programmes, such as extracurricular activities and sports that were organised by the institution when she was a student and won numerous medals in a variety of categories.
