About the Department Department of Dairy Extension Education, BSIDT
The Department of Dairy Extension Education is one of the six constituent departments of the Bihar State Institute of Dairy Technology (BSIDT).
The Department is actively engaged in teaching, research and extension and offers courses in Dairy Extension Education including Communication Skills, Personality Development, Fundamentals of Dairy Extension, Basics of Animal Husbandry, Milk Production Management and Dairy Development, Dairy Development in India and Abroad, Dairy Cattle Nutrition and Reproduction and Student READY Rural Dairy Work Experience Programme-I.
The department bridges the gap between scientific knowledge and field application through training programmes, technology transfer, demonstrations, scientist–farmer interactions, Kisan Gosthies, Animal Welfare Camps, field days and exposure visits.
